Happy 11 months to our little David! Gosh, I can’t believe we will be celebrating his ONE YEAR birthday soon! It’s really crazy how time flies when you become a parent. Anyway, on to the update…
David still has 8 teeth, and they are all in the front. Recently he’s been drooling a lot again so I’m thinking more teeth coming in? His new phrase recently is “gaga.” He’s been pulling himself up to a standing position all on his own and has become very good at it. Watching his self confidence bloom has been such a delight. He loves opening and closing drawers… in the kitchen, the bathroom, pretty much anywhere he can get his little hands on them. He is always getting hurt or bumping his head on something despite mommy and daddy’s best efforts to prevent that from happening. He recently started waving to total strangers and they always love waving back at him. David seems like quite the social butterfly, which is surprising because mommy is soooo not that way!
We also seem to have finally established a pretty regular schedule! Up until now, David’s napping schedule and going down for the night schedule was all over the place. But just within the last few weeks, he’s been going down for the night around 8:30/9pm, waking 2 to 3 times to drink formula in the middle of the night and then waking around 7am. Then he will go down for his mid-morning nap around 10/10:30am. After that, he goes down for another nap around 2:30/3pm, waking around 4 or 5pm and then after he has his dinner, he goes down for the night. I’m happy to say, it’s routine now and I can accurately predict when he needs to go to sleep! I must say it’s really nice to have a regular schedule!
The older David gets, the more we fall in love with him. Watching him grow and seeing his emerging personality brings us so much joy and has been so deeply rewarding. Excited about the upcoming milestones as we get closer to his ONE YEAR birthday!
